Serpent's Passage Sample Stats

Am I the only one that absolutely loves reading the stats at the end of each scenario? I love it! I love seeing how everyone else has played in relation to me, why x person didn't do as well (usually because they've died a lot), why y person pwnd. Screenshots also give me a good measure of how I'm progressing on my characters and an idea of what I should expect from others. As usual, click the images for readability:

  1. I am a statistics guy as well. I am not sure why, but in most aspects of life I love statistics.

    A wise man once said:
"When performance is measured, performance improves. When performance is measured and reported, the rate of improvement accelerates."

I am all about improving my skills as a gamer. Trying out different builds, strategies, and tactics, while using statistics as a measuring tool, helps me to improve my skills.

  2. I love looking over my stats as well, but I'm almost constantly surprised at how little renown I get in comparison. As a shadow warrior myself, I see that I end up in the top 3 damage dealers frequently. This is my job as a RDPS, yet I often fall to about the middle of gained renown. How do you keep your numbers up? This is something I have a hard time descerning from just a statistics sheet.

  3. shadowwar - I'm not exactly sure what other Shadow Warriors are up to at the moment, but I'm specc'd in the Path of the Scout, which is purely for scenario benefit. I quest in the Assault stance, but have exactly 0 points in the mastery at the moment.

My usual method for scenarios goes like this: get in a group with a warrior priest, because they damage and heal, and thus crank up the renown. Then start hammering the AoE - Glass Arrow goes to a tank, Flaming Arrow goes to the highest level healer in a cluster of squishies. Meanwhile I'm dropping Acid Arrow on the surrounding targets of the AoE, Festering Arrow does a tonne of damage and I now have Fell the Weak, which makes it easy to get the killing blow. For movement, I have... can't find the name of it right now... the one that affects movement speed, and spiral fletched arrow.

In short: it's all about the AoE.

I saw on your blog that you find it too slow, but I've been hitting the top of the charts in SP since the first time I played. Might be worth trying again? Having said that, once you hit level 40, it is a lot harder to pile on the renown.

Also... maybe I should make a proper post on this. But then I'd give all my secrets away!
